Obviously, the world is quite different than it was a few weeks ago. Your wellness is now at the top of your priority list and should truly be a focal point for you as you navigate through the coming weeks.
We’ve talked about a few things that are absolutely critical on the blog already, but wanted to share two simple ways to continue to support your immune system (and sanity) while we are all navigated through these unchartered waters together --- in quarantine!
You know how critical it is to keep your cortisol levels in check when it comes to staying healthy. There are several ways to do this, but the simplest strategies are:
Get at least 8 hours of sleep. Yep. Every single day. Keep to your normal schedule as much as possible and make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep each night. In order to improve your sleep quality, you can use a magnesium spray before bed, keep your room cool, avoid using technology at least an hour before bed, and keep your room as dark as possible.
Go for a walk. It sounds so simple, yet it's imperative to support your mind and body and to lower your cortisol levels. Walking will help you clear your mind. It gets the blood pumping, fresh air flowing, and your body moving. It’s important to take a walk daily to destress and remain connected to the world.
Right now, we need to do everything in our power our body optimal condition, so our immune system can do its thing. When you combine these two things with a whole food based diet and intermittent fasting, you are giving your body the support it needs to stay as healthy as possible.
